VF-was founded in honor of our Mother Cynthia Victorian ‘Hockenhull. During a difficult time in her life, Cynthia lived a life of survival on the streets of Oakland, CA . Her favorite hangout was Old Man Park. There she met her life partner Rufus Hockenhull. During this time she used many community resources for food and shelter. Even though she was for the most part a “happy go lucky person” she also suffered some mental health issues which led to substance abuse. With the love and support of her family and community she was able to attend a Methadone clinic to help stop using drugs, obtain permanent housing from a voucher from Section 8 housing and regain normalcy in her and her children’s lives. Unfortunately, Cynthia passed away on February 20, 2023. Despite her passing Cynthia will live on through Victorian Foundation.

Individuals with Disabilities: We are committed to providing accessible, inclusive care for individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the support and resources they need for recovery and well-being.

Those Seeking Family Support: We understand the importance of family in the healing process. Our programs include support for families, helping them to navigate the complexities of substance abuse and mental health recovery.

 Teens: We recognize the unique challenges faced by teens and offer specialized programs to support their mental health and substance abuse recovery, helping them build a strong foundation for their future. 

 Court-Referred Clients: We work closely with the local court system to provide mandated treatment and support for individuals who need it most.
